Frequently Asked Questions
"FAQ"s
Can we camp on the festival site?
The festival site is a private part of the park, and the AFF doesn’t allow the public to camp on the actual site. There is another campground within the park that accommodates 94 water/electric sites and 22 "Tent" sites that are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can try your luck by arriving early, or by booking a hotel in the town. Please see the LODGING page of this website for a complete accommodation listing.
What can we bring to the AFF?
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and plenty of layered clothing. The AFF is an one-day festival, and every public part of the event is held outdoors, including three stages, culinary village, merchandise area, and a Folk Art village. Bring plenty of cash, too, as there’s no ATM and limited credit card capabilities onsite.
What are we NOT allowed to bring?
You cannot bring coolers, weapons, explosives, containers, etc. You may not bring in a bag any bigger than a backpack. While we understand that you’ll want to bring small snacks and possibly a bottle of water in your bag, we will have plenty of interesting and eclectic vendors in our culinary village: everything from a coffeehouse stand to gourmet pizza to kettle corn.
What happens if it rains?
This is a rain-or-shine event. All stages are covered and prepared for rain. If rain is even a possibility for the day, bring rain gear, just in case.
How about parking?
We do not charge for parking, although prime parking spots will surely be taken on a first-arrival basis. We can’t guarantee close parking for anyone, except several handicap-accessible spots. We will provide shuttles for those parking farther than walking-distance from the site.
When can we get a stage schedule?
The stage schedules will be posted on the website within the next few weeks. Please join the AFF mailing list (on the website’s homepage)
Will there be tickets available at the gate?
YES. Tickets will be $40.00 at the gate. Children 10 and under are FREE.
Can we take pictures?
You may bring a disposable or small digital camera, but professional photographers must apply for a media pass. For more information, please contact our Publicity Team (see CONTACT page.)
